Sister Circle LEgacy

We all need circles, but not every circle is for us.

As I grow, I’m learning that being empowered also means being equipped — equipped to discern where I belong, and where I’m being drained.

Some circles stretch you.
Some circles support you.
And some circles simply need to be left behind.

Because when you’re empowered with the right circle, you don’t have to step down to fit in — you step up into who you’re becoming.

I’ve seen what happens when we forget this. Whether it’s in advocacy spaces, workplaces, or even family, when you stay too long in the wrong circles, you start to question your worth.

But the truth is: You can be in a circle, and you can create the circle you need.

We were never meant to do life alone.
Yes, there’s self-care, but there’s also community care.
And the two are inseparable.

So this week, I invite you to reflect on your circles:
- Do you feel wanted, valued, and seen?
- Are you clear on what others need from you and what you need from them?
- Are you surrounded by people who help you stand taller, not shrink smaller?

If not, it may be time to start building the kind of circle that helps you — and everyone in it — rise together.

Because when we heal in community, we create legacies that outlast us.
